The three excellences are HSSE Excellence, Operation Excellence and Business Excellence for the Pertamina International Refinery. This is inseparable from PT KPI's vision to become a World Class Oil Refinery and Petrochemical Company, as well as KPI's mission to run an International standard Oil Refinery and Petrochemical business with strong economic principles and environmental insight.
Taufik explained, firstly, HSSE Excellence refers to the management of high-standard K3 management considering that the refinery and petrochemical businesses are included in the high risk industry. K3 elements that are the focus of PT KPI include the implementation of process safety management, ensuring refinery reliability through predictive maintenance, refinery maintenance to environmental management in accordance with applicable regulations.
"All business activities must be oriented towards the target of achieving Zero Accident, On Quality (right quality), On Schedule (on time), and On Budget (right budget)," said Taufik.
The second and no less important, continued Taufik, is Operational Excellence.
“With Operational Excellence, it is hoped that projects can run on time, on budget, on specifications, on regulation, and on return (OTOBOSOROR). implemented in KPI are reliable project management, business innovations that are in accordance with best practices, and supported by a comprehensive knowledge management culture," said Taufik.
In accordance with PT KPI's profitability target, business excellence is also the focus of Taufik Adityawarman.
“Currently, PT KPI is undergoing an extraordinary business transformation. The impact of the restructuring or Legal End State in 2021 is a shift in the petrochemical refinery business which was originally a cost-centered entity, now has the mandate to become a profit-centered entity or a profit maker," said Taufik.
